Energy Minister Saurabh Patel details the 'Solar Energy Rooftop - Solar Energy Rooftop' scheme implemented by the state government for the households of household electricity users - residential category electricity consumers. Under this solar rooftop scheme, home electricity users will be able to generate solar energy in the open space of their home. Not only that, by using enough electricity or using it from the solar energy itself, the additional electricity can be spent to the government of Rs. 2.25 per unit will also be able to generate electricity bill relief and additional income by selling 25 year contract, ”he added.

Explaining further details of the benefits under the scheme, the Energy Minister said that after the establishment of the solar system, the agency which is bound to provide free maintenance of the system for five years. For the registration of the application, the customer is required to give the last electricity bill, applicant's photo, Aadhaar number and customer's mobile phone number. In addition, the selected agency of the customer who will be registering the application online on behalf of the consumer through the portal of the solar rooftop and the amount of the fixed deposit will be reimbursed by the agency, the amount will be offset against the budget. The budget includes the connectivity charge of the solar system, solar generation meter charge, meter testing charge and meterbox charge. Electricity customers are not required to pay any charge for this deposit or the budget separately.
The customer will have to pay the same amount as per the tender price. The customer does not have to pay any other amount. In addition, if there is a technical need to make any changes to the existing electricity distribution infrastructure, it will be the same as the cost to the customer. And for that, the budget will be estimated separately by the distribution office. In addition, if the customer wishes to increase the fixed height from the rough level of the module mounting structure, then mutual agreement between the customer and the agency he / she has to negotiate the additional cost will be paid separately to the customer.
